HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

As a master's student in Human Factors and Information Science, I decided to complete my thesis research on a topic that would help a group of people in great need: chronically ill young adults.

Through a formative, qualitative study, I discovered how this group navigates the complex information ecology of the medical world. I then explored findings within the framework of Distributed Situation Awareness and provided health information technology design recommendations.
